Katie Cooper "katie-pi"

Katie Cooper’s film/TV experience includes negative cutting at "exact cut" in Toronto, working for the 2005 Toronto International Film Festival, 2004 Hot Docs Documentary Film Festival, corporate video editing for a Fibreglass company in Oshawa, and interning at CHUM, Rogers Television and Overseas Radio and Television in Taiwan. In March 2005 Katie had the exciting opportunity to assistant edit on Vincenzo Natali’s behind the scenes documentary on Terry Gilliam’s 2005 feature “Tideland.”

She has worked on many productions including music videos, commercials, narrative shorts, weddings, live TV and documentaries as director, producer, camera operator, sound recordist, post-sound and picture editor. The comedy and documentary genres are her favourite and her quirky style is evident in the math lover doc "easy as pi" screened in Australia’s SCINEMA /05 and her short about a crazy obsessed Bob Saget fan "Bob" featured in Toronto’s 2004 Giggleshorts Comedy Festival.
